Privacy policy
Effective: 23 October 2026
Step Sequencer ("the service") is a tool you use without an account. This policy explains what information the service handles and what may be collected automatically. The service follows the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and related laws.
1. Information the service does not collect
- Your projects and audio — patterns, songs, exported WAV files and audio files you load into the sampler are processed only inside your browser. They are not sent to the operator or any third party.
- Account information — there is no sign-up, so no name, e-mail address or phone number is collected.
2. Data stored on your device
Your current project is saved in your browser's local storage so that it reopens on your next visit. It stays on your device; you can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
3. Personal information processed, purpose and retention
| Case | Items | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| E-mail enquiries | E-mail address, message | Reading and answering the enquiry | Deleted one year after the reply |
Unless you e-mail us, the service processes none of the above.
4. Information that may be collected automatically
Access logs
Like any website, the servers of our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may record access logs such as IP address, browser type and time of access. These are handled under that provider's policies, and the operator does not use them to identify individuals.
Advertising and cookies
The service shows Google AdSense advertising to stay free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
The service never sends your projects or audio to advertisers or anyone else. Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for cookie consent through Google's consent message.
5. Refusing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the sequencer keeps working without them.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Prevent cross-site tracking
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data
6. Provision to third parties and outsourcing
The service does not provide your personal information to third parties or outsource its processing. Access logs and advertising cookies described in section 4 are handled directly by each provider under its own policy; some providers, such as Google and Cloudflare, may process information outside Korea (for example in the United States).
7. Destruction
E-mail enquiries past their retention period are deleted without delay. Projects are never stored on a server; local-storage data can be removed with your browser's site-data controls.
8. Your rights
You may ask to see, correct, delete or stop the processing of personal information the operator holds about you (your e-mail enquiries). Contact us at the address below and we will act without delay.
9. Security measures
- Projects and audio are never sent to a server, which removes the risk of a leak on our side.
- The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- E-mail enquiries are kept in an account only the operator can access.
10. Privacy officer
